Kensington has had an amazing world book week by celebrating our love for reading and learning all about Shakespeare!

Every year group have dedicated their English lessons into discovering more about Shakespeare and his plays; from learning about William Shakespeare in year 1 to writing Hamlet character descriptions in Year 6 . We have also had a fantastic time at our Shakespeare workshops where children watched a performance and were then given the opportunity to be a Shakespearean actor and took part in performing.

We have also had a lovely time at Buddy reading where our older children pair up with the younger ones and read stories. In true Kensington style, we have ended the week with a show stopping dress-up day.

The children’s costumes have been the best ever this year, and it has been such a joy to listen to the children discussing their favourite book characters with each other. Please keep encouraging your children to read and discuss their reading with you.
