Coronavirus - Letter to Parents/Carers
16th July 2020
Dear Parents, Carers and Children,
I cannot quite believe that we have got to this point and are now breaking up for the summer holidays! This year has been very different, the like of which none of us has ever experienced before. It has been very difficult at times and I know there are a number of families who unfortunately have lost family members and, to those of you that have been affected, I send you my heartfelt condolences and thoughts.
However, this has also been a time where we have been able to see the true extent of the partnership that we have built in this community, where we have supported each other not only with our children’s learning and development, but also have supported each other in so many different ways. The amazing way in which we have all worked together in doing this makes me very proud to be working in this community.
I believe that what has been achieved by our schools’ and the Trust in supporting the learning of our children during this time has been phenomenal and we have, throughout this period, continued to develop our work to best suit the situation. This has been done through the hard work and commitment of our amazing staff and also the fantastic work of parents and carers who have supported children in their learning. I would also like to say a big thank you to all the children who have found things very difficult at times but who have worked very hard too. The Tapscott Learning Trust and its family of schools is a fantastic place to be and it has been a real honour over the last few months to be able to work with all of you.
As you know, our schools continue to work tirelessly in adapting plans for September and we will give you more information regarding this on our return in the new academic year. We plan to open all schools fully for all children as we are confident that we have been able to prepare and be ready to do this as safely as possible.
I hope you will all be able to take time with your family over the summer holiday to enjoy yourselves and to take advantage of the current decrease in restrictions on our way of life.
Best wishes,
Paul Harris
