Curwen Awarded Basic Skills Quality Mark – again!

Curwen Primary School have been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark for the fifth time, having been reassessed after their previous “10 year” award in 2017.

The Basic Skills Quality Mark is a nationally recognised accreditation which demonstrates schools’ commitment to continually improving standards.

Vivienne Marle, Assistant Headteacher at Curwen, said, “Curwen is such a special school made up of amazing children and inspirational staff.”

“The reviewer was so impressed with how, even at this difficult time we have been able to ensure that quality in education is of a high standard. We provide our children with a great start to ensure when they go to secondary school they can fulfil their potential.”
