Kensington Primary wins TWO Pearson Silver Awards!

It has just been announced that Kensington Primary School is the only school in the country to be awarded 2 Pearson National Teaching Silver Awards – one of the most prestigious awards in education. These were awarded to:

Helen Harris, SENDCO at Kensington Primary School, who has won The Award for Excellence in Special Needs Education.

Kensington Primary School for The Award for Making a Difference – Primary School of the Year.

This is a huge accomplishment and testament to the work the school did to become a key part of its local community, and really pay attention to the needs of each child within the school.

Paul Harris, CEO of the Tapscott Learning Trust, said:

“I’m very proud of Kensington Primary for this award in the Primary School of the Year category.  I believe that this is testament to their incredible team and community work – everyone has played their part and they couldn’t deserve it more. I was also delighted that Mrs Harris has been recognised for her exceptional work to make learning inclusive for all children both at Kensington and throughout the Tapscott Learning Trust.   A HUGE well done to everyone at Kensington”

The award winners are now in the running for one of just 14 Gold Awards which will be announced later in the year, in a programme which will be broadcast on the BBC. This is a great opportunity to celebrate exceptional schools and staff who have worked wonders during an incredibly challenging time for educators across the country.
