YST Primary School Theory Workshops - 08/01/2019 - FREE

Tuesday 8 January 2019:1.30-3.30pm Newham Leisure Centre indoor centre (classroom), Prince Regent Lane E13 8SD

These one-hour sessions, exclusive to YST Members, provide evidence based good practice on the topical issues for primary schools

Early years and Key Stage 1 & 2 PE, school sport and physical activity – the crucial

stages in developing healthy, happy and successful young people

Aims to give PE coordinators and practitioners support in planning an appropriate and challenging PE curriculum for ages 4-7 and 7-11 that meets the needs of all their learners by a stage not age approach and where physical activity and school sport

can support this.

Delivering 30 minutes of physical activity for every child, every day

This workshop covers the rationale and importance of schools incorporating 30 minutes of physical activity into the school day for every child. With clear evidence on how physical activity impacts on children’s wellbeing and achievement we will

explore the science, strategies and practicalities of delivering this and how the new YST Active 30:30 Tri resource can provide a simple solution.

Please contact Simone Laidlow to book your places by 4 January 2019.
