The Tapscott Learning Trust is an award-winning Trust currently made up of four Primary Schools within the London Borough of Newham. At our core is a drive to create the next generation of learners by delivering an outstanding education, which we believe is the right of every child irrespective of social, economic or demographic factors.

Our mission is to ensure delivery of the best quality education, learning and development of basic skills; knowledge and understanding that ensures ALL of our pupils receive the best start in life and are successful in moving through their education, leaving them well prepared for their futures.

Our Trust currently consists of four schools: Curwen Primary School, Kensington Primary School, North Beckton Primary School and Ranelagh Primary School, all located in the London Borough of Newham.  We also work in close partnership with Rebecca Cheetham Nursery and Children’s Centre.

Our CEO, Paul Harris (previously a TES Head Teacher of the Year), leads the Trust and reports to a Board of Trustees.  However, our schools are rooted in their communities and as such, each has a Head Teacher or Head of School and a local governing body.  Our Chair of Trustees is Maggie Cameron-Ratchford.

We are keen to extend our partnership further, with other schools who share our values and welcome enquiries.

Born out of successful, collaborative partnerships within the Borough, we support schools to retain their unique characteristics so that they can play an authentic role in their communities and deliver a quality education to our children. Our schools have independence over their curricula to ensure the curriculum best reflects the needs of our pupils within their local community. For more information on our schools' curricula, please visit the school website.

Since our inception in 2017, we have built many successful partnerships with other schools and organisations in the local area and wider afield, and welcome opportunities to expand our horizons within our diverse local communities and beyond.

Alongside our schools and local partnerships, the Trust has its own Training Hub which is dedicated to developing a strong workforce both within and outside of our organisation. Our Training Hub runs a number of nationally recognised courses which are available to schools, educators and businesses, run by leaders in their fields. To find out more and book on to a course, please visit the Training Hub section of our website. Our Sports Hub is another core element of the Trust, and works with local schools to develop PE and School Sports Programmes that provide exciting opportunities for children, helping them to develop their love for sports. To find out more, please visit our Sports Hub section.

Underpinning the Tapscott Learning Trust is a belief that every child should receive an outstanding education - crucial to this is the inclusion of children with special educational needs (SEN). The Trust leads in SEN practice and initiatives, with over 150 children with a high level of need. We have an alternative provision at all of our schools, and our award-winning lead SENCo, Helen Harris, manages our team of centralised specialists and coordinates the SEN corporate professional development offered by our Training Hub. For more information about our schools’ SEN provision, please visit their websites.

At the Tapscott Learning Trust, we are passionate about working together to achieve a quality education for all children in our care. We believe the best way to do this is to remain at the centre of our diverse communities and support each of our schools based on a shared educational vision, not an expectation for all schools to be the same. We are always looking for opportunities to collaborate with like-minded schools and organisations - please get in touch for more information or with any further enquiries you may have.
