Meet our TTLT Pupil Parliament Team
We are excited to introduce the newly elected Pupil Parliament team, comprising talented and enthusiastic children from across our trust schools. The team met in October for their first session, during which they elected their Vice Chair and Minute Taker to assist the Chair in managing meetings, recording decisions, and helping the team work effectively. It was a fantastic opportunity for the members to get to know each other, build team spirit, and start planning for the year ahead.
Last year, our Pupil Parliament achieved remarkable success by raising funds for Cancer Research UK, making a real difference in the lives of families both locally and across the country. Inspired by this achievement, the team is eager to continue contributing to the community in meaningful ways this year. After careful discussion and voting, they have chosen to support Young Minds, a charity dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing for children and young people.
The Pupil Parliament works closely with the School Council teams in their individual schools, helping to improve school life and strengthen our trust as a whole. This year, the team has set clear targets to guide their work:
- To speak confidently in meetings and school events.
- To work well with team members to complete projects.
- To organise and take part in fundraising for chosen charities.
- To support each other to grow as leaders.
We are incredibly proud of our Pupil Parliament team and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to have within their schools, the wider trust, and the community.
