Ranelagh’s first Festival of Voices workshop this year got off to a magical start with the appearance of Trevor Dion Nicholas, who played the Genie in the West End Musical Hit, Aladdin. Accompanied by a live band, Trevor performed Friend Like Me for the children, providing an unforgettable experience of high quality musical performance. Trevor then led the children in a musical theatre workshop to develop their singing and acting skills. During the workshop, the children practised and performed the song, Friend Like Me. An excited Theo from 4T3 said, “This was the best trip ever. I like when he did different voices.” Children learned how to show expression through voice, body language and volume.

The children in Year 4 will perform at Hackney Empire at the end of the Summer term with five other Newham schools.
