Curwen Goes Green!

All week, Curwen Primary have been looking at ways to become more environmentally friendly through activities organise run by their School Council. Many year groups have had a paper free day this week, the School Council have begun to update the school's recycling systems and today the whole school came together for a special Going Green assembly. Curwen is well on its way to becoming an eco-friendly school! There was a competitive edge to the week as well with the Year 4s taking part in a 'Save the Rainforest' speech competition whilst Year 6 competed to come up with the best recycled, floating Viking boat. Everyone could be Seen in Green with donations being passed on to the eco charity 'Friends of the Earth' and the greenest class receiving a class plant, as well as green treats! A big thank you to everyone who donated.
